Obituary of Wavey Manuel

It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Wavey Effie Manuel aged 62 years. Wavey passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on July 11, 2016 after fighting a lengthy & courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Loretta Parsons. She leaves to mourn with fond & loving memories her husband Allister & their 2 daughters Lisa (Derek) Snow & Kelly (Matt Hamilton) Power. 5 grandchildren: Sophia Jane, Spencer, Sydney, Noah & Jake; sisters: Flossie (Pat), Betty (Kim), Exie (Calvin), and Rhonda (Mike); Brothers: Henry (Geraldine), Jamie (kasonya), Peter, Cecil (Shelley);brother in law, Donald (Maxine) Manuel and a very large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Wavey was well known for her love of thrift shopping, her nose for news within the community, and her overall thoughtfulness & compassion for others. Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive, Lewisporte, with visitation on Wednesday, from 7-9pm,and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will take place on Friday July 15th, at 2 pm from St. Matthews United Church in Lewisporte. In keeping with her wishes cremation will follow. Flowers or donations may be made in her memory to assist the family.
