Obituary of Alma M. Ford

Alma Mabel Ford-Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander, at the age of 85 years. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Lydia Francis Leyte, born on Fogo Island. Predeceased by: husband John, brother Howard Leyte, and grandchild Keith Rose. She leaves to mourn: children: Ivy Rose, Stella Leyte, Susie Harris, Betty (Harvey) Blake, David, Sandra (Wallace) Hart, Isabel (Edward) Nippard, and Kenneth Ford; grandchildren: Darlene, Melissa, Danny, Kimberley, Kevin, Jason, Patricia, Serena, Wanda, Kelly, Anita, Trenton, Lee-Ann, Jennifer, Christopher, Wanda-Lee, Joey, Tammy, Jamie and Phillip; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters Florence Freak and Hazel Coles; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at the Gospel Hall in Davidsville on Wednesday from 7-9pm and on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 am with interment to follow at the Gospel Hall Cemetery.
