Ford S. Day Obituary

It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Ford Simeon Day, of Brown’s Arm, at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on February 22, 2022, at the age of 78 years.


Ford was born in Stanhope on January 25, 1944, son of the Late Charles and Greta Day. Predeceased by his wife Patsy, brother Freeman and granddaughter Kaylynn.


Leaving to cherish his memory are his three sons: Norman (Kimberley), Rex (Cathy), Clayton (Patsy); grandchildren, Blake, Parker, Christopher, Samantha, Troy, Ashton, Jayde, Tanner, Karissa (Xander), Courtney, Cameron (Brittany) and Christopher; three great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Georgia and Griffin.


Ford will be remembered by his siblings: Ron (Florence), Clem, Marion (Leo) Glines, Everett, Ross, Doreen (Kevin) Hynes, Benda (Vincent) Baker, Joy (Sherman) Strong, Lorraine (Wilson) O’Dea and Terry (Tasha) Coates; as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.


Resting at Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle on Friday with visitation to take place from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. From where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM by invitation only. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in his memory to Maranatha Pentecostal Cemetery.
