It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Cyril William Barrett at his home in Embree on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 at the age of 72 years. Cyril was born on September 10, 1951 in Botwood, he was a son of the late Vera and Clyde Barrett.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife Alice of 51 years; two precious daughters Shelley Pelley, son-in-law Scott and Lisa Barrett (Randy Hynes). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Donovan Pelley, (Naomi), Cameron Pelley, Damian Brown (Maria), and Gavin White; sisters Viola Hill, Cynthia Barrett (Will).

Cyril will be remembered by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Edwin Barrett; sister Eunice Oberndorfinger and brothers-in-law, Junior Hill, Raymond Barrett and Porter Genge.

Family will be receiving visitors at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive in Lewisporte on Saturday, June 22 at 11am. A service to celebrate Cyril’s life will be held at 1pm with a reception to follow from Families Funeral Home.
