Barry Snow Obituary

Barry Walter Snow, a man who made connections wherever he went, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, at the age of 67 with his family by his side. Born on July 6, 1957, Barry spent his entire life in Lewisporte, where he became a cherished part of the community.

Barry was pre-deceased by his brother, Wayne, and his parents, Jessie and Clem. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, who has stood by his side. His legacy lives on through his son, Brian (Claudette), and his daughter, Pamela (Richard), both of whom carry forward the lessons and love he imparted, and his cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron and Leah. Also leaving to mourn are his brother Clem (Vida), sister Sheila, and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Barry began his career as a mechanic, a profession that not only allowed him to work with his hands but also to share his extensive knowledge with others, including his son Brian, and many who sought his expertise. Barry transitioned into sales and eventually worked with IOC before retiring. Through each chapter of his career, Barry met countless wonderful people, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Whether traveling within the province or beyond, he had a knack for running into someone he knew, always ready for a friendly chat.

Barry enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Exploits with Karen, his children and grandchildren, and Exploits neighbors and friends. Whether it was sharing tidbits of advice on catching and cleaning fish, having a yarn with friends, or just sitting and enjoying a laugh and the sunset, Barry was a cherished part of all our lives. As the grandchildren grew, he could be found in any rink watching them play, beaming with pride.
