Obituary of Raymond Pryor
Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Lester Pryor of Little Burnt Bay announce his passing at the Central NL Regional Health Centre in Grand falls-Windsor on April 22, 2025 at 2 am surrounded by his loving family in his 75th year.
Ray was born September 1, 1949 to Wallace and Ruby Pryor at Cottles Island (now Cottlesville). They moved to Little Burnt Bay in his late teenage years where he met the love of his life, Linda Randell. They were married on December 20, 1974 and were blessed with three amazing children who were the pride and joy of their lives.
From the beginning of his career Ray loved working with his hands and being involved in construction. He had an eye for detail and took pride in every job he worked on and continued to do after he retired in 2018.
Leaving to cherish his many memories are his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; sons Bobby (Lenora), Troy (Anita), daughter Lynee (Jason Lush); and his five precious grandchildren; Ryan Pryor, Kyle Pryor, Cole Pryor, David Lush and Nevaeh Lush who brought him more joy and excitement than the heart was able to hold.
Also leaving to mourn are his eight sisters; Sandra, Norma (Ross Hill), Audrey (Eric Jenkins), Barbara (Larry Boyde), Sharon (Irwin Mulrooney), Faye (Elvis Dart), Bonnie (Paul Flood), Fern (Ian Mews) and one brother Earl.
He will be lovingly remembered by his seven sisters-in-law Beulah (Byron Foss), Velma (Eugene Anstey), Christine (Derick Ledrew), Pauline (Roy Bursey), Marion (Oral Rumbolt), Lori (Walter Goulding), Tonya (Alvin Baker); his six brothers-in-law Vaden Randell (Lorraine), Shannon Randell (Viola), Terry Randell (Kimberly), Todd Randell (Connie), Norman Randell (Nicole) and Sherman Randell (Rajnie); as well. As a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Wallace and Ruby Pryor, brother, Ross, and mother-in-law, Audrey Randell.
We, the family are sending a heart full of gratitude and thanks to the staff at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor for their care of Ray. They went over and above their duties as doctors and nurses, and for that we will be forever grateful.
Resting at Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle in Little Burnt Bay with visitation on Thursday, April 24th, 2025 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th at 2 pm with cremation to follow.
A donation may be made in his memory to the Little Burnt Bay Community Cemetery Fund.
