To the Leyte family…
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mom, and our dear friend, Violet. Yet it’s bittersweet, because we know she is at peace and is with her Lord, which is far better!
Our lives were made richer way back in the 70s, by the arrival of the Leyte family to Oshawa. What fond and precious memories we have of our times spent together! We enjoyed many meals together in your home and ours. We remember lots of conversation over cups of strong tea…and Violet made the best gravy too!! She was always such a hard worker! We remember those Woolco days!
And of course we can’t forget that trip to Newfoundland in 1983 when our family, with your mom and dad, and Merv and Collette, set out on the adventure in a rented motor home (that ran on propane). What a memorable experience to visit Fogo Island together! We have never forgotten that!
We will always have a special place in our hearts for Violet, and for your dad, and for all of you. We love you. We wish we could be there with you right now during this difficult time, but we live in Kenora ON, and it’s a VERY long way! But we are sending our heartfelt condolences. We’re praying that you will be comforted and have peace in the midst of sorrow. May God bless you, each one!
