The family of Leta Goodyear announce her peacefully passing at Bonnews Lodge on August 2, 2025 at the age of 97 years. Leta is predeceased her husband Stanley, her parents Kenneth and Flora Sheppard; her brothers Newman and Eldon.

Leaving to cherish her many memories are her sons Gavin ( Mabel), Newman and Rockie. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Faron ( Ruth-Ann), Tina. (Tony), Claudette (Dave), Roxanne (Paul) and Jerry (Tonya); great-grandchildren, Phillip (Samantha), Jordan (Breanne), Samantha (Darian), Chloe, Victoria, Dwayne and Gavin. J. ; seven great-great grandchildren, Natalie, Cameron, Kayden, Sophia, Carter, Austin and Abigail and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bonnews Lodge for the wonderful care during her time there. Special thanks to Muriel Collins her roommate who was a wonderful friend .

Resting at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Carmenville will visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 5th, at 2pm.

Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery. As expression of sympathy donations may be made in her memory to the Pentecostal Cemetery Fund.
