10 Trees or Condolences have been sent in support of Jay’s family — View on Tribute Wall
It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of Jay Lee Debienne after a courageous battle with Cancer.
He was born on September 15, 1964 in Estevan, Saskatchewan and passes away on August 4th, 2025 in Lewisporte, Newfoundland.
He was a man with an eye for details but also a sensitive, loving and caring man with a big heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife Audrey, his stepdaughters Jennifer Hutchings (Joe), grandchildren Carson and Alexis. As well his stepdaughter Danielle (Arie) and his sister Lynn Debienne.
After High School, Jay decided to move to Vancouver to get his sound engineer degree.
After an adventure working with a local band, he landed an opportunity to work with CBC, one of his favorite projects was creating the sound for the hit series Corner Gas.
Audrey and Jay moved to Newfoundland in 2009, there he worked with Prolium Industries.
His second, or maybe his first passion in life was scuba diving. He learned to dive and worked his way up to becoming a PADI instructor. With this education he was then able to certify some of his family members as scuba divers. A great way to have his passion live on.
In keeping with his wishes cremation will take place.
Rest in peace Jay, you will be deeply missed.
