It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Bruce Porter of Porterville on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at the Lewisporte Health Centre, at the age of 88 years.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his loving wife Louise; two children Paula and Chuck (Melanie); four precious grandchildren, Nathan (Bessie), Matthew (Rebecca), Andrew (Hannah) and Rahel (Adam); two great-grandchildren, Quinton and Xander.

He will be deeply missed by his siblings Marion Forsey, Roger (Ina) Porter and Beth (Clayton) Gillingham. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Robert and Lydia Porter and brother Neil.

Visitation will take place from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle in Brown’s Arm on Tuesday from 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 11am with interment to follow at the United Cemetery in Porterville.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in his memory to the United Church Cemetery Fund.
