The family of Wilford Langdon of Norris Arm North sadly announce his peaceful passing at the age of 88 years on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at North Haven Manor in Lewisporte. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Norris Arm, he was the son of the late Garland and Melena Langdon. He married the love of his life Elsie and together they raised their four children and were blessed with 62 wonderful years of marriage.

Wilford worked for 23 years with Works, Service and Transportation. He dearly enjoyed his retirement making many memories at their cabin and enjoying his quad trips, snowmobiling and fishing and remained active for many years.

Most of all he loved spending time with his family and watching his family grow with the wonderful addition of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Leaving to cherish his many memories are his loving wife Elsie and their four children Beverley (Fred) Woodford, Bruce (Jo-Anne) Langdon, Deanna (Dennis) Freake and Donna (Tony) Giles.

He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Jordan (Samantha) Freake, April (Alex) Flynn, Caitlin (Jarod) Locke, Cody Giles, Wendy (Andrew) Butler and Jessica Langdon; great-grandchildren, Kasen, Kole and Kooper Freake; Evelyn Locke and Liam Flynn. Wilford will be lovingly remembered by his sister Marie Dawe; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Diamond, Lorraine Rowe, Hope Owens and brother Allan Langdon.

The family would like to thank the staff of North Haven Manor for the care shown to their father during his stay.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 19th, at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte from 2-4pm. In keeping with his wishes the Funeral service and burial will remain private to the family.
