Our Mom had the biggest heart. Once you came through her door you were considered family. Mom spent 39 years as a foster parent to children with special needs. She showed them love like they were her very own children which is a true statement to the loving person she was. Mom’s life was not without struggles with mental health but she pushed through those struggles daily with determination and strength. Her strength, determination, kindness and love was shown too others when they needed it most.

These are qualities that her children have embraced into adult hood. To say that God chose her as our mother and friend is our biggest blessing.

There was nothing that made our mom more proud then being a grandma. Her family was everything to her, her very purpose in life and her love for our dad was a special love like no other.

Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the management and staff at North Haven Manor which was her home for the past 6 years. Mom loved them like a second family. Your continuous compassion and kindness made our family feel safe and at peace. We also want to thank Doctor Ambarak for caring for our mom in her final days with the most dignified care.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte with all service to remain private to the family as per her wishes with cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Foster Families of Newfoundland and Labrador.
