With great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing of George Edward Walsh on Friday, October 31, 2025 at North Haven Manor in Lewisporte surrounded by his loving family. He was 88 years of age.

Loving Husband of Shirley for 64 years. Cherished children, Tony (Karen) Walsh, Diane Torraville, Derek (Bonnie) Walsh, Robert (Rhonda) Walsh, Lisa (Hank) Snow and Shawn Walsh.

He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Mitchell Walsh, Ashley Cowie, Dylan Walsh, Jamie Snow, Brandon Walsh, Amelia Torraville, Patrick Walsh and Keegan Pelley, great-grandchildren Carter, Michael, Jackson, Colton, Bryson, Torren, Emmitt and Melody. George will be fondly remembered by his sister Jean Piercey and sister-in-law Elizabeth Walsh along with many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

George a son of the late James and Mary Walsh was born and raised in Little Catalina. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Michael and Jim (Maud) and other brothers and sisters-in-Law.

Resting at Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Embree with visitation on Sunday, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. His going home service will take place on Monday at 1pm. George will be laid to rest at the Community Cemetery in Embree. Donations in his memory may be made to The Community Cemetery Fund in Embree.
