Cecil George Mills went to his Heavenly home on January 1st, 2026 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander at the age of 75 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife Wanda.

Leaving to cherish his loving memories are his two children Tammy (Brad Hicks), and David Mills; grandchildren, Mitchell, Colby, Katie, Emily, Chelsy, Nora, and Riley.

Cecil will be deeply missed by his siblings, Triffie Watkins, Ivy Callahan, Jean (Ivan Boone), Gloria Mills (Carl Cooper), Doug Mills; brothers and sisters in law Judy (David Mercer), Derrick (Marilyn Hoddinott), Ruth Hoddinott, Glenda (Rodger Foss) and Joyce Hoddinott.

He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was also predeceased by his parents Henry and Rhoda Mills; parents-in-law Colin and Dorothea Hoddinott; his six infant siblings Edna, Eunice, Eva, David, Sadie and Harvey; brother Bruce Mills (Betty Clarke); sisters Rowena Jenkins, Audrey (Wallace Curtis); brothers-in -law Eugene Hoddinott, Harvey Callahan, Allan Watkins, Max Legge; sister-in-law Shirley Mills and niece Lisa Rideout and his nephew Freeman Watkins.

Visitation will take place from Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will follow on Sunday, January 4th at 1 pm from Glad Tidings Pentecostal Tabernacle in Embree with interment to follow at the Community Cemetery.
