It is with broken hearts that we said goodbye to our beloved mom, nan, great-nan, great-great-nan; Joyce Marie Anstey (nee Bulgin) on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the age of 89 years. She passed peacefully at James Peyton Memorial Hospital in Gander surrounded by her loved ones.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd in 2023, her parents Harry and Sophia Bulgin, as well as her brothers Alan, Bert and Lloyd and other members of her extended family.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories; her children, Diane (George) Brett, Donna (Ron) Pomeroy, Marilyn (Everett) Kinden, Marven (Susan) Anstey, and Sherri-Lee (Jody) Anstey; grandchildren , Angie, Tanya, Jody, Jillian, Laura, Maria, Chad, Carla, Chelsea, Jordan, Kalyn, Lauren, Colin, Rebecca and Brett as well as step-grandchildren Shannon and Brett; great-grandchildren Morgan, Rylee, Audrey, Abigail, Maya, Olivia, Ava, Chris, CJ, Nash, Serenity and Van; and great-great-grandchild, Kayce. As well as her sisters Louise, Shirley (Freeman), Christine (Wilf) and brother Eric (Ada), along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her lifelong neighbor and close friend, Betty Colbourne, and special friends and cardplayers Kevin and Beatrice Manuel and Ken and Pat Manuel, as well as the many friends she made over her lifetime from Women’s Institute and TOPS.

Special thanks to nursing staff at James Peyton Memorial Hospital as well as Rev. Paula, who provided spiritual care and support to Mom and her family during these past few difficult months.

As per her wishes, there will be no public memorial service and cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at the United Church Cemetery in Lewisporte at a later date. A celebration of both of our parents lives will be held this summer.
