It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Betty Verna Louise Layden On April 1, 2026 at North Haven Manor surrounded her loving family at the age of 86 years.

Betty was predeceased by her parents Simeon and Gladys Coles and her husband Frederick (Harold) Layden.

Left to cherish her many loving memories are her seven children; Wanda (Patricia), Una (Ross) Snow, Fred (Alma), Dianne, Lisa, Paul (Olive) and Michelle.

Her memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Resting at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte with public visitation on Thursday, April 2nd,2026 from 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday @ 11 am from Families Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Lewisporte.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Church Building Fund.
