Tedd Selby Lush Obituary

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Tedd Selby Lush after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on May 24th, 2026 at the age of 73 years.

Tedd was born in Campbellton on January 29th, 1953 a son of Kenneth and Olive Lush.

Tedd was full of mischief and love. He had the best bear hugs and the biggest belly giggles.

When he left home he went to Ontario to work where he met his first wife Audrey. Together they had two daughters, Lorrie (Roy) Howse and Leeann (Stacey) Murrin. His girls were his pride and joy and the twinkle in his eyes. Audrey's son Lindy was fondly loved by Tedd.

After the birth of their children, they moved back to NL where he started his career working in the woods logging. Tedd and Audrey remained close friends.

Over time Tedd found a passion for truck driving and returned to Ontario. In Ontario he met his second wife Norma Snow. Norma had three children, Kevin (Christina), Joy and Billy Keats.

Outside of work he loved playing guitar, woodworking, fixing vehicles, hunting and fishing. Tedd loved tying his own salmon flies and caught some of the biggest salmon-at least that's what he said! He was also a talented gunsmith. He would spend hours refurbishing guns and refinishing gun stocks. He had a real knack for fixing things and was a real jack of all trades.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Lorrie (Roy) Howse and Leeann (Stacey) Murrin.

Poppy Tedd will be forever missed by his grandchildren Amelia Snow, Audra-Lee Howse and Sydney Murrin. As well as April and Dakota Young.

He will be deeply missed by his first wife Audrey (Blair) Foote, second wife Norma Lush (Snow), His stepchildren Kevin (Cristina), Joy and Billy Keats along with their children Renelle (Adrian) Latour, Stephen (Megan) Keats, Zachary (Callie) Keats, Brian Jr (Crystal), Jonathan (Crystal), Christina (James) and 12 great-grandchildren.

Tedd will be sorely missed by his extended family and large circle of friends.

He is survived and forever missed by his sisters Breta Manuel and Elva Wells, brothers Kenneth Jr (Brenda), Leon (Debbie), Merrill (Monica) Baldwin, Tammy (Evan) Atkinson, his very special nephew Alvinwood Curtis, many nieces, nephews, a large circle of other family and his fur baby Molly who he loved and adored.

Along with his parents Kenneth and Olive Lush, Tedd was also predeceased by his brothers George, Alvinwood (Shirley), sisters Ruby (Stanley) Curtis, Doris, Fay (Walter) Baldwin, Gloria and his brothers-in-law Howard Manuel and William Wells.

As per his wishes cremation has taken place.

A funeral service will be held at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte on Thursday, May 28th, 2026 at 1 pm.

Following the service the family is requesting anyone who wishes to join them at the Brittany Inns to celebrate his life by sharing stories and laughs. Anyone who knew Tedd knew he loved to torment and have a laugh over it. Please come and share your stories.
