Chesley Hedley Angell Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family Announces the peaceful passing of Chesley Angell on May 31, 2026 at Bonnews Health Lodge in Brookfield, NL at the age of 87 years.
He was born on May 26, 1939 in Noggin Cove a son of Jethro and Gladys Angell.
Chesley is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Betty), son Hedley (Regina), daughters, Serana (Leslie), Deborah (Dave) as well as his loving grandchildren Ashley (Nicholas), Tara-Lynne (David), Alishia (Joey), Nicole (Cole), Christopher (Caitlin), Patty, Daniel, Natalie and Brian.
He will be forever remembered by his precious great-grandchildren James, Allie, Hailey, Jenna, Dawson, Mason, Myles, Eve, Liam as will as a large circle of other family and friends.
Along with his parents, Chesley was also predeceased by his brother David, sisters Lorraine Angell, Yvonne Wheaton and his brother-in-law Newman Wheaton.
Chesley was a devoted family man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, spending time in his garden and appreciating the beauty of nature. He was a hardworking man who spent many years working in a sawmill providing for his family with dedication and pride.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors and the deep love of his family.
Resting at the Bethel Full Gospel Tabernacle in Carmanville with public visitation to take place from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at 2 pm with interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Carmanville.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Church Building Fund.
