Meta Mercer. Passed peacefully away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her parents: Lambert and Lucy Wells; husband, Cecil Mercer; and daughter, Winnie King, and long lifetime friend Jane Burry. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Julie (Jake) Snow, Bruce (Gail) Leyte, Frances (Harrison) Lewis; and son in law Fred King grandchildren: Michelle (Barry), Gail (John), Neil (Beulah), Hughie (Vicky), Veronica (Heather) and Beverly (Robert); step-grandchildren: Mitchell and Miranda; great-grandchildren: April (Jason), Tania (Ryan), Nicholas, Brenda, Julie, Jason, Jenna, Ryan and Rebecca; great-great-grandchildren: Emma, Taylen, Abby and Brielle. Also leaving to mourn: her sister, Mary Pearce and family; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive, Lewisporte with visitation on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will take place on Monday from St. George’s Anglican Church in Boyd’s Cove beginning at 2pm. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2pm from St. George’s Anglican Church with interment to follow at St. George’s Anglican Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Forever in our hearts, may she rest in Gods hands.
