Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family on December 3rd, 2015, Roy Saunders aged 80 years, at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander. He was the son of the late Heber and Ida Saunders. Roy was predeceased by: Brothers Frank and Bertrum; and his sister Gladys. Left to cherish his memory: loving wife Edna; three children: Dale (Kathy), Gail (Roy) Morgan, Michelle (Eldon) Osmond; six precious grandchildren: Jill, Crystal, Jenny, Danny, Brandon, and Brady; five great grandchildren: Eric, Logan, Donavan, Declan, and Lincoln; brother Elam (Madeline); sister Janet (Wilson) Hayward; sister in law Ivy Saunders; brothers in law: Fred (Daphne)Powell and Albert (Lorraine) Powell; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive, Lewisporte, on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Visitation will continue at the Salvation Army Church, Change Islands, on Monday beginning at 2:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December, 8th at 1:00 PM with interment to follow at the Pentecostal cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made in Roy’s memory to the Pentecostal Cemetery Fund.
