Mrs. Shiwak, Joanne & family, Catherine, Terry & Family,
It was our privilege to have known Lincoln Shiwak for many years. We had the honour of visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Shiwak during our first years of ministry in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. He was a man of the Word and loved to share his knowledge of it. He was a great support and encouragement to us as young pastors.
We are sorry we are unable to be with you today. Please be assured of our thoughts and prayers. We are so thankful for the great hope of Heaven and the promise that we will see our loved ones again. Keep the memories of your loved one close to your heart and allow them to fill you with peace and courage throughout this day and in the days ahead.
Sending our love & support to you all,
Shawn & Mary Bowers, St. John's, NL

Aunt Leona. Sorry I can't be with you but only a month ago we were all laughing together in birthday celebrations. That's how fragile life is. Now as you face the empty chair, empty place at the table, empty side of the bed and empty place in your heart you will find that your Anchor still holds in the midst of the storm. We'll all miss Uncle Lincoln's hearty laugh and most of all his discussions of Biblical tidbits. May the Jesus that you both served so faithfully wrap His Arms totally around you in Comfort.
My love and prayers to you, JoAnn, Catherine, and families. BIG HUGS!!

To Leona, Catherine, & Families..
Sincere Condolences to you all on the passing of your loved one . Mr. Shiwak we always called him, we first met him in Goose bay in the late 60's. What a wonderful Testimony he would give, at Church there, & he was also a great song leader, sunday school teacher, & sometimes we got invited over for tea. We also had tea with them a few times in Lewisporte & how he loved to chat, especially about God's Word. He also had a great sense of humor, & was so friendly, & passionate about many things, he loved LIFE. He loved Jesus. One day soon we shall gather at the River, & what a day it will be be..What a HOPE we have in Christ of seeing our brother Shiwak again . Your loss is truly heaven's gain. May God be with you all.

Aunt Leona, Jo Ann, Catherine and families. So sorry to hear of Uncle Lincoln’s passing. I’m sure he is laughing now that he’s reunited with so many of his friends and his Savior. Uncle Lincoln came from humble beginnings but he left quite a mark on whoever had the pleasure of learning about the Galaxy and his insights into the Word of God. He loved to tease and joke around - calling me “Sari”. Hold on to the many memories. Hugs to you all.

Memories...memories... there are so many. All good and some amazing! For your loved one was an amazing man! He so willingly
and excitedly imparted his knowledge of Bible events and Astronomy to so many. I wonder how many Astronomy Badges did he teach in the Crusader Program?? We have been "family-like" friends for 46 yrs. He will be missed and ever remembered. Try to think of him exploring and being amazed with the wonders of Heaven. Sending our love to each of you. May you experience God's Peace and Comfort.

Aunt Leona, JoAnn, & Catherine,
So sorry we couldn't be there with you at this time. Big HUGS
My fondest memories of a dear, sweet uncle are of one who loved to call me a 'Gayle' of wind (haha). He loved to laugh, especially at his own jokes; loved astronomy, and especially loved the Word of God. He educated himself and was a great teacher of the Bible. Also, faithfully loved and served God for almost his entire life and dearly loved his family. We love you Uncle Lincoln. You will be sorely missed.
Heartfelt thoughts of you all,
Your loving niece and cousin,
Gayle & Paul Simpson

Mrs. Shiwak, Pastor Catherine and Terry, Joanna and the Shiwak family. We were saddened to hear of Mr. Shiwak's passing. We have many fond memories of him while I was on staff in Lewisporte. His usual comment to me after a morning of presenting a sermon was "I couldn't have said it better myself"! Or to my wife he would ask if I had sung " My Bonnie lies over the ocean" to her today! Always enjoyed listened to his explanation of the Galaxy. He loved to talk about the Word and the goodness of God. I'm sure in your hearts today there is sadness but also a peace knowing that he's just "gone ahead" and awaiting our arrival on the other side. Be assured of our prayers in the coming days!

Dave and I are so sorry to hear of Uncle Lincoln's passing. He was a wonderful man in so many ways but especially in living his life for God. His love for God and his family was immeasurable. Those of us who knew him over 50 years ago will fondly remember him picking children up for Sunday School in his old panel van in Happy Valley.
