It is with great sadness the Family announce the passing of Garfield Stanley Hodder on Friday December 25th, 2015 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander after a two year battle with cancer at the age of 66 years. Garfield was the son of the late Eli & Ida Hodder. Predeceased by his brothers: Wayne and Angus; and sister; Sandra. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife Betty; Daughters: Lisa (Everett) Hart, and Diane (Ewen) Hodder; son: Bradley (Kim); grandchildren: Kenny, Kody, Chloe, Dylan, Alexandria; step grandson: Landen; brothers: Lindo (Sadie), David (Betty); Sisters: Isabel (Ray), Sheila (Dean), Carrie (Howard), and Denise (Bryant); and a large circle of other relatives and countless friends. Resting at the Pentecostal Church in Stoneville, public visitations will take place on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, in keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no viewing on Monday. Funeral service will take place on Monday December 28, at 1:30pm with interment to follow at the Pentecostal cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to The Gideon’s.
