Obituary of Meta Blanche Higgins

It is with great sadness that the family of Meta Higgins, aged 86, announce her passing at the Central Health Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 19^th, 2019. She was predeceased by: husband Bernard; parents Harry and Mabel Clarke; infant daughter Beverley; and sisters: Hilda, Minnie, Margaret, and Ann.

Meta leaves to mourn with many loving and precious memories: daughters: Margaret (Frank) Bryan, Linda (Martin) Vickers, Janet (Gary) Purchase, Bernice Walker, Debbie (Clar) Vickers, and Della (Phil) Foley; sons: Ron (Sue) and Jerry (Brenda); grandchildren: Harry, Craig, Beverley, Tony, Amanda, Claudine, Laura, Wanda, Keyha, Melissa, and Lesley; and 13 great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Norris Arm. From where the funeral will also be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Norris Arm.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in Meta’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
