To, Jack,Jerry, Janice, Jackie, Jeffrey, Joy, Judy and the remainder of the Hewitt and Peckford families. So sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and the days ahead. May God bring comfort and peace to you all in knowing she is no longer suffering, but is now resting in the arms of Jesus. She was a most pleasant and loving Lady. I was always welcomed in her home with a smile and hug. My fondest memories are, as a child, Jack and Joyce would always come to our home and visit us many Sunday afternoons. I remember hurrying home from Sunday School hoping to see them. It was so much fun having them around. She was my 1st cousin, but always seemed more like my aunt. Losing your wife, mom, sister, aunt or cousin is never easy, but be assured of my prayers. To Jackie, Jeff & Nathan; Jack and the Hewitt family: Sure wish we could have been there during this time to offer our sympathies in person, but distance makes that difficult. We have thought of you all often and have prayed. Although these times are tough, we know that your memories and your love for one another will get you through. So thankful for the promise in the Bible that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and that your Mom made sure that would be her ending to her life story just a few years ago. The hope of heaven makes the good-bye a little easier. May you all find the strength and peace in this time that your Mom lived daily no matter her circumstances. Jack and family We just heard of Joyce’s passing. We are so saddened for you all! While we were pastoring in Baytona from 1974 to 1978, she was such a faithful follower of Jesus, attended church regularly and enjoyed the Women's Ministries. She sure was a good wife and mother to her children. I am sure that was extended to her grandchildren too. This is a difficult day for you all. To the entire Hewitt family; We are saddened to hear about the passing of your dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and our cousin Joyce. Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies are with you all during this time. I have many wonderful memories of her during my childhood and youth - from family visits at our house or yours, to her beautiful sewing talents displayed at my graduation and at our wedding.
