Gladys Julia Dwyer of Lewisporte, passed peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2016 surrounded by her family at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, in Grand Falls-Windsor, at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her parents: Alex and Carrie; brothers: Ross, Fred, Frank, and Jack; sister Olive; granddaughter: Terry-Lynn; sister in Law Daisy Bennett and brother in law, Al North. Leaving to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories: her Children: Bill, Shirley, Wilma (Paul) Sheppard, Sandra (Gideon) Troke, Glenys and Linus (Sandi); 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brothers: Harvey (Marilyn),Glenn (Donna);Sisters: Wilma North and Betty (Dave) Crookshank; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday January 28th, from St. Matthew's United Church, Lewisporte at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Janeway Foundation.
