Delphine James-Langdon Obituary

Passed peacefully away on Friday, January 22,2021 at North Haven Manor in Lewisporte, Delphine James-Langdon at the age of 85. She was born in Little Bay Islands to the late Theophilus and Elizabeth Weir.


Leaving to cherish her memory her children, Lorraine (Vaden) Randell, David (Doreen) James, Violet (Fernando) Araujo and Tina Boyd and daughter-in-law, Pauline (Roy) Bursey. Stepchildren, Thelma (Ross) Jenkins, Bernice (Eddie) Diamond, Leroy Langdon, Beulah (Ken) Head, and step daughter-in-law, Joy Langdon

. As well many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.


In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Harvey, first husband Wilbert (Bert) James and second husband Everett Langdon, sister Meta Short and her brother Wallace Weir. The family would like to thank the staff of North Haven Manor for the care shown to their mom. Arrangements are in the care of Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive Lewisporte with visitation on Saturday from 2-4pm.


Funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from The Salvation Army Citadel in Lewisporte at 2:30pm. Interment will take place at the Salvation Army Cemetery (old) in Lewisporte.

Flowers accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
