Obituary of George Diamond

Passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, George Diamond at the age of 91 years. He was born on Change Islands to the late Frederick and Betty Diamond. George was predeceased by his brother Fred and daughter in law, Karen Diamond. Leaving to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 70 years, Audrey; children: Stewart (Avia), David (Lydia), Ricky, Loretta (James) Edwards, and Cavell (Weldon) Pennell; eight grandchildren: Shawn, Gavin, Byron, Shane, Courtney, Trinity, Valerie, and Katrina, along with 11 great-grandchildren; and his brother Hayward Diamond. As well many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Arrangements are in the care of Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive Lewisporte, with visitation on Tuesday at the Salvation Army Church on Change Islands from 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday for family and close friends at 1p.m. with Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army Church Fund.
