It is with great sadness the family of the Late Andrew Simms of Birchy Bay announce his passing on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, at the age of 74 years. Andrew was born in Twillingate to the late Thomas and Netta Simms.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his children: Wayne, Wanda (Mohammed) Purrier, Claudette (Ivan) Freake; four Grandchildren: Alex (Marlee) Freake, Faith (Mark Pelley) Freake, Paige and Emma Simms; Great grandchildren: Reegan, Jaelyn, Lexi, Ariana and Caleb; brothers, Wayne (Lorraine), Gordon (Sandra); sister-in-law Ella Simms.

As well nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Verna, brother Roland and sister Jean Simms.

Arrangements are under the care of Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte.

Due to the current restrictions, viewing, funeral service and burial will remain private to the family.
