Passed peacefully away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander. Patrick Andrew Decker aged 65 years was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth Decker; brothers Leo and George; parents in law, Ethel and Baird Manuel; and brothers-in law, Doug Williams and Bill Baldwin.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 44 years Roma (Nee Manuel); their three sons, Michael (Stacey), Matthew, Mitchell (Sammy Jo); his brothers, Ron (Vick), Ed (Janet), Kevin (Mary), Pete (Margaret), Ben (Sheila); sisters, Ellen Williams, Margaret Cobb, (Gerald), and Theresa Baldwin; sisters in law Lucy, Ella, brother-in-law Ross (Jean), and a large circle of nieces and nephews’ other relatives and friends along with his furry companion Trouper.
Pat was born and raised in Joe Batts Arm, where he fished with his father and brothers. Pat met Roma in the early 70’s and moved to Labrador City where he worked for City Motors and Wabush Transportation.
In 1984 they moved back to Loon Bay and raised their three sons, whom he loved very much.
Pat and Roma’s home was always open to family and friends. A welcoming loving home with lots of laughter and many happy times. Pat will surely be missed by his family and all those who cared and loved him so very much. The family would like to especially thank the staff at the hospital for all the care shown to him and our family during his stay.

Born and raised, that was me, a Newfoundlander, proud to be.
In life I shared my love and glories, but now I’m gone, think back to stories. When you feel the coastal air, just close your eyes because I am there. I’m in the breeze for you to feel, and in your heart to help you heal. Remember me and time we shared, I thank you all who loved and cared.
