After much illness, it is with great sadness the family announces the passing of the late Gerald Ridgley of Lewisporte at 73 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents Francis Ridgley, Phoebe (Ridgley) Chaulk, step-father Nimshi Chaulk, infant sister Amanda Chaulk and step-brother Junior Chaulk.
Leaving to cherish his memory: his loving wife Wavey, daughter Elaine, son Brian (Tamar), grandchildren Robert (Cynthia), Nicholas, Alex, Samantha, Suzanne and Adam, great grandchildren Ian and Luke, son-in-law Terry, sister Charlotte (Roy), step-sisters Bride, Joy, and step-brothers Clyde and Ron; many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive in Lewisporte, visitation will take place on Friday, April 8 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from the Salvation Army in Lewisporte at 12 noon with interment to follow at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to the Palliative Care Unit at James Paton Memorial Hospital.
