Passed peacefully away on Sunday April 24, 2016 at the Lewisporte Health Centre, at the age 80 years. Predeceased by his parents: Clayton and Hazel Gidge,brother Harvey. Leaving to cherish his memory: his wife Joyce of 55 years, daughter Donna (Terry),Son Kevin; four grandchildren: Daniel (Priscilla), Davis (Brittany),Kaitlyn, and Rhianna; brothers-in-law: Cecil and Gerald Farthing and a circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive in Lewisporte, visitation will take place on Tuesday April 26, from 7-9pm. Family funeral service will take place from Families Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1pm, with interment to follow at St. Matthews United Cemetery in Lewisporte. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to a Charity of One's Choice.
