Benny Chippett Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Benny Chippett on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home in Campbellton at the age of 60 year. Benny was born July 10, 1962 a son of the late Thomas and Myrtis Chippett.


Ben spent time in the NWT working underground. However, his heart was always back home in Campbellton. When he returned, he began truck driving and dearly loved being on the road. Some of his greatest passions included being in the woods, fishing and maintaining his beautiful property in Campbellton.


Leaving to mourn with beautiful loving memories, the love of his life Tracy Churchill, brothers Alex (Beulah), Dan (Myra), Dennis (Donna), and Randy. Benny will be greatly missed by his sisters, Sally (Lloyd) Pond, Nellie Freake, Alfreda (Grenfell) Wheaton and his sister-in-law Verna Chippett, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.


In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Allan (Dick) and Bob; brother-in-law Gilbert Freake, sister-in-law Jean and his fur baby Cybil.


Visitation will take place from Families Funeral Home, Lewisporte on Tuesday, from 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 1pm from the funeral home for family and friends.


Donations may be made in his memory to the Salvation Cemetery Fund (old) or Home of the Daffodil Place. Burial will take place at a later date. Service will be live streamed through Families Funeral Home Facebook Page for those unable to attend.
