Jean Marie Potter, 96, of Embree, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2022 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Jean is survived by her children: Bob, Brent (Terri), Myra (Paul), her stepchildren, Margaret (Norm), Marie (Wayne), Ruth, as well her 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents (Sarah and Edger), husband (Walter), son (Byron), granddaughter (Sarah) and son in-law (Lewis).

Jean was born in Carmanville, Newfoundland in 1926. She worked as a live-in caregiver for several years until she married Walter and moved to Embree Newfoundland where they raised their family together. In 2011, Jean moved to Saskatoon to be closer to her family in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Jean was known for her caring and nurturing spirit; she was quickly surrounded by good friends that felt like home. Jean’s legacy will always be her love for the Lord, and love for her family.

Visitation will take place on Friday from 7-9pm from Families Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held from Glad Tidings Pentecostal Tabernacle, Embree on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Community Cemetery in Embree.
