After a courageous battle with cancer, Harry Walker passed away peacefully at the Carmelite in Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday July 22, 2023 at the age of 72 years. He was surrounded by loved ones who stayed by his side until the end. Harry is now reunited with his loving wife Frances Walker and honorary daughter Christine, parents George and Vera Walker and in-laws Ronald and Margaret Dwyer; Sister: Jennie Walker, Brother: Melvin Budgell.

Leaving to cherish his memory: daughter Tracey (Chad Blackmore) and grandson Nicholas, son Travis (Carrie Maher); and brothers Gordon (Kelly), Thomas (Juanita), Gary (Tracie), Dean, Sisters Yvonne (Bob), Judy (Thomas), Linda (Patrick), Norma (John) and Christine (Perry).

Harry was a self-less man and a hero to many. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Monday from 7-9pm and Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the United Church in Norris Arm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11:00am with Major Roy Perry officiating. Cremation will take place following the service with interment to follow at a later date.

Flowers are accepted and donations may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
