It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Collins announce his sudden passing at his home in Embree, on Friday, December 29th, 2023 at the age of 66.

Edward loved to create and build. He was a master at anything and everything he put his hands to. He was known to take the most common of materials and create something unique and beautiful for the members of his community and visitors from near and far to enjoy. It was his joy to have visitors come and view the many antiques in his museum or take pictures with his life size creations displayed outside his home.

Although he was a man of very few words that didn’t stop him from sharing his love especially with his family. He was a hardworking and proud husband, father and grandfather who treasured his time spent with those he loved.

Edward will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Marina (Nee Sheppard) and his two sons, Marvin (Leah), Morris (Heather); Four precious grandchildren Laura, Grace, Jaeyda and Anna.

As well as his siblings, Sam (Isabelle) Collins, Lorraine Glover, Bertha (Wayne) Rumbolt, Beatrice (Gordon) Churchill, Eldon Collins, Kevin Collins, Marie (Boyde) Oram, Connie (Derrick) Hancock; sisters-in-law Juanita (Stanley) Foss, Maisie (Max) Wells, Minnie (Dexter) Ralph, Gaye (Ford) Penney, Golda Sheppard, and Daphne Sheppard along with his brothers in laws Robert (Julie) Sheppard, Lawrence (Audrey) Sheppard; many neices and nephews other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Edward Sr. and Lucy Collins; parents-in-law James and Annie Louise Sheppard.

Resting at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte with visitation on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 1:00pm from Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Embree with interment to follow at the Community Cemetery in Embree.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in his memory to the Community Cemetery Fund.
