Nelson Nippard Obituary

Passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, at the age of 77 Years. Nelson was born in Main Point on May 11, 1946 a son of the Late Andrew and Julia Nippard.


Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife Audrey; two children Paul (Janice) and Jessica (Jason) Hewitt; three precious grandchildren, Bradley, Jade and Journey. He will be deeply missed by his sister Joyce (Tom) Skinner and his brother Francis (Edith); nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.


In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Ryburn, Norman, Melvin and Lindsay along with his infant sister Kathleen; parents-in-law Alice and Hubert Squires; brothers-in-law, Alvin Squires, Kevin Squires and sister-in-law Jane Wheaton.


The family would like to thank Dr. Paulus for his kindness and thoughtfulness shown to Nelson and the family. A special thanks to everyone for the visits, calls, love, prayers and support during this difficult time.


Resting at the Gospel Hall in Main Point, with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9pm and on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 1pm with interment to follow at the Gospel Hall Cemetery.


Donations may be made in his memory to the Gospel Hall Building fund.
