Obituary of Joan Althea Lewis

Passed peacefully away at North Haven Manor in Lewisporte on the evening of June 11, 2024 at the age of 82 years. Joan was born in Twillingate a daughter of the late Simon and Lorena Mills of Newstead, where she lived until she went out on her own. Leaving to mourn with many loving memories are her children, Angela (Ira) Dorey, Diane (Michelle) Wells, Kitty Wells (Gerald Hodder), Kelly (Randy) Quinlan, Shelley Lewis (Everett Randell) and Joey Lewis; grandchildren: Stefan St. Croix, Stephen Dorey (Karina), Sara Dorey (Mark Feener), Lorena Wells, Danielle Winsor (Charles), Jessica Winters, Jacqueline Winters (Dillion) and three great-grandchildren, Mylo, Serena and Addison Winters. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Betty Cull, Becky Bowers (Reg), Byrle Saunders (George) and Marjorie Peacock and a large circle of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Jeffery Wells and two infant sons; first husband Harvey Wells and her second husband Arthur Lewis; sister Louise Head, brother John Mills; sister-in-law Betty Mills, brothers-in-law Bob Head, Chesley Cull and Randy Peacock. Visitation will remain private to the family. Funeral Service will take place from St. John Anglican Church in Baytona on Saturday, June 15th, at 2:00 PM with cremation to follow. Interment will take place later time. Flowers accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Anglican Church Cemetery Fund in Baytona.
