Obituary of Stanley F. Rimmer

On Thursday, June 27, 2024 at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, Stanley Rimmer Went into the arms of his heavenly Father at the age of 87 years. Stanley was born and raised In Little Burnt Bay. He was a son of the Late John and Rosabella Rimmer. He met his wife Ruby Warren from Herring Neck and were married for 50 years, before God called her home. Together they settled in Little Burnt Bay and raised their five children. spent most of his life working for Abitibi Price. He worked for the highways for a few years and later worked in Milton Ontario with his son Harrison for 10 years. He enjoyed cutting firewood, moose hunting planting potatoes and also enjoyed his trips around the boardwalk. In later years they moved to Lewisporte in the cottage and after his wife passed away, he moved to Kingsway Living and later Pleasantview Manor in Lewisporte. Leaving to mourn are his daughters Sharon (Don) Bennett and Shelley Keating; sons Harrison, Wayne (Debbie), and Shawn (Jackie); grandchildren Amy (Ian), Amanda (Owen), Jerry (Tanis), Jenelle (George), Shawna (Dwayne), Bradley, Brittany (Jared), Shane and Spencer; great-grandchildren Calla, Willa, Ivy, Eve, Alya, Abel, Amelia and Ezra; his sister Joyce (William) Baker; sister-in-law Megretta (Dean) Bath and special friend Nora Quinlan. As well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by sisters Annie Ball, Edna Harris and Winnie LeDrew and brother Pleamon; granddaughter Erin Rimmer and great-granddaughters Autumn Rimmer and Ember Larson. Visitation will take place from Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle in Little Burnt Bay on Saturday, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 30th, at 2pm with interment to follow at the Community Cemetery in Little Burnt Bay. Donations may be made in his memory to the Community Cemetery Fund. S
