Uncle David , so sorry about Corey. I know you have so many memories of him , he was a pleasant boy .
I remember when growing up , I was older and didn’t spend time with Corey but he was around with Jamie and having to sleep in the same bedroom , bunk beds. Oh my the chatter and laughing all I wanted to was sleep .
So you know how hard it was to get them to stop and go to sleep. They were worse because they were getting on my nerves ! and they knew it !
Love Jason

David, Deanne, Kim and family,
We are sending our sincere condolences and hold you up in our prayers in the loss of Corey.
Corey, even as a child, loved to have fun and play jokes which sometimes got him in trouble. (Laugh out loud). He had a big heart and always had the biggest smile.
Corey, you will be dearly missed. You left this world too soon, but we are so happy to know you talked to Jesus before your surgery.
Until we meet again, rest in peace dear nephew.
Love,
Uncle Hubert and Aunt Pansy

Uncle David, Deanne, Kim and family,
We were so saddened and shocked to hear of Corey’s passing. We send our sincere condolences to you and the family.
Uncle David, you have been through a lot the past couple of months. My heart breaks for you. Stay strong, lean on family and friends and trust God to get you through the difficult days ahead.
I remember visiting Aunt Doreen and Uncle David’s house as a young girl and hanging out down stairs playing games with Corey.
Sadly, Corey and I lost touch when he moved away, but I’m so happy we reconnected when he was home in July for Aunt Doreen’s funeral.
Rest in peace my cousin. Gone but forever loved and never forgotten. ❤️
Love,
Lorena and Gerry Canning

I thought I’d lost my last message to Corey & his reply, but I found it so I think I should save it in his memory book (David agrees). This conversation took place on July 14,2024, the night before his surgery.
I am so thankful for the hope this conversation gives!

Corey was my friend from the first day of kindergarten. The picture shows us heading off to the bus stop together for the first time. He was my neighbor and good friend for many years. Though we lost touch when we grew up and made our own lives, he always remained a big part of my childhood memories. I was always met with a big hug every time I ran into Dave or Doreen around town. I was surprised to hear from Corey this past summer when he came home for his mom's funeral. I visited with him on his last day at home and he filled me in on all that was going on in his life. He was so proud of his family back in Alberta and he lit up when he spoke of them. My deepest condolences go out to his wife, children and grandchildren. And also to his Dad and family here in NL. Little did I know then that it would be the last time I'd speak to Corey. I was so sad to hear of his passing, but so grateful we had the opportunity to connect again during that visit. I'll always remember you Corey. You have left this world far too soon. Rest easy my forever friend. ❤️

I may not have known Corey personally but he was a distant friend on Facebook. I am happy to read that he had his talk with Jesus and we know we have the hope of seeing Corey again when we all gather together in Heaven someday. Please be assured of our prayers. I may be in Lima,Peru but distance means nothing with prayer. Gods peace a His presence be with you all at this difficult time.

I remember when you were born, my mom and I visited you and your parents.
Over the years, I lost touch with your family until I moved back to Lewisporte. I chatted with your mom many times and your dad at Coop,
I was really happy to meet you in July for a brief visit.
Knowing you had talked to God was wonderful news.
Rest well, Corey, we'll meet again, hugs

Add a memory....we had 13 years of memories and I'm sure we could both share a life time of stories of the things we done together. I wouldn't even know where to start to tell people the road we went down together, we done it all. When ever kim was mad at you, you know there was a good chance I was involved in whatever you done. We always knew, no matter what, we were only a text, drive, or phone call away no matter the time or the reason. From the day we met till the day we meet again I will remember and cherrish every moment and memory. Everything I do going forward till then will have a memory cause we did it all together. You had the best laugh and the biggest heart no matter how your day was. Rest easy my friend, my brother my partner in crime. Until we get to pick up were we left of my friend.

Uncle David, Deanne, and family,
I was at a loss for words when I received the news of Corey’s passing and yes, even still today.
The one thing I will always remember is Corey’s sweet smile. I know we had visits on Saturday mornings at my house when we were kids but those childhood memories have all but faded.
Corey and I both left home after high school and made lives for ourselves elsewhere, which limited our interactions. I do, however, remember our chats in recent years on social media.
He was always fun loving and cheerful - even during the rough times! We both love our pups which gave us something more to chat about.
Uncle David, I hold you in my heart and prayers. May God continue to wrap his loving arms around you and grant you comfort and peace.
Sending our love, prayers, and deepest sympathies,
Lisa & Dennis

Uncle David and Deanne, we are so sorry about the unexpected passing of Corey.
Corey wasn't just my cousin, he was also my friend, we grew up together, from playing Lego's when we were little kids to cruising around Lewisporte after getting our license's as teenagers.
Corey was with me when I met my wife Danielle. Back in those days Corey and us had a lot of good times. Our kids called him Uncle Cousin Corey.
We will remember Corey as the fun loving guy who was awesome to be around, always up for anything for a laugh, or adventure.(so many memories we shared)
We will be forever grateful to have had the privilege to share so many memorable life experiences with Corey.
Corey will be missed immensely by all who knew him.
Rest In Peace Corey,

Corey I will always cherish your smile and boyish laughter when we would crack jokes, you could always make me laugh out loud.
We had some good times together throughout the years didn’t we. Kim, yourself, Dennis and I at the acreage was one of my fondest memories, we had so much fun with the solar lights and the pool water in the moonlight.
I will miss you dearly my friend.
I appreciate how you would always show up for my pottery sales and always left with something.
I am so thankful that God put you in my path in life and that I was able to know you, be an honoured member of your wedding party & help with Nathan when it was needed. I am so grateful for friends like you.
I will never forget your kind heart, your smile and how much you loved Kim.
Reading the message you wrote to your aunt brought me so much joy, to know that you were in relation with our LORD Jesus brings such a comfort to me. I know you are walking in the garden with your beautiful mama hand in hand. I love you friend. Until we meet again.
