Gerald Feltham of Lewisporte passed peacefully away at the Lionel Kelland Hospice in Grand Falls-Windsor on Sunday, September 8, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Gerald at the age of 72 years was predeceased by wife Beverley; his parents Lester and Hannah Feltham; parents-in-law Donald and Barbara Manuel; nephews Leon Feltham and Jeffrey Manuel. Leaving to cherish many memories are his son Gregory and daughter-in-law Paula; his two precious grandchildren Kayleigh and Macie whom he treasured. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving and devoted partner Mildred Rideout and her son Jeremy (Gillian) Brenton and her granddaughter Jade; brother Graham (Marilyn) Feltham and special nephew Jaret Manuel and other relatives and friends. Gerald was proudly raised on the south shore of Glovertown until his late teenage years. It was after high school that Gerald moved to St. John’s to further his studies at Memorial University. Not long after completion of his education degree, he set roots in Lewisporte. Gerald was known in the community as a respected teacher, entrepreneur and an ever-going businessman who wore many hats. He had ideas and made them come to life. Gerald loved to lend a helping hand to people. Whether it be a meal, a ride, a job, a roof over their head or anything in between that he could do to support, he was a giver. He was a devoted husband and partner, a proud dad and a doting grandfather. Gerald will forever touch the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward drive in Lewisporte with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday from St. Matthew’s United Church in Lewisporte at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Matthew’s United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are accepted, or donations may be made in his memory to support the Lionel Kelland Hospice. https://lionelkellandhospice.ca/help/
