COLLINS, Roland Maxwell Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family, on June 2, 2016 at the Ottawa General Hospital, Roland (Rollie) Maxwell Collins at age 68 years.(Formerly of Lewisporte) Loving father of daughter Kelly (Matthew) and son Sean (Jill); proud Poppy of grandchildren Ethan Maxwell and Ainsley Gray Collins. Rollie will be sadly missed by his only sister Florella (Rellie) Strickland, nephews, nieces and many special friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Cyril Maxwell and Nellie Collins. He enjoyed a long retirement, involving a lot of travel. He was an avid golfer who will be missed by many friends at the Hylands Golf Club and many friends/coworkers at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where he served with pride for 30 years. Funeral Service was held on Saturday Sept 3,2016 from Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte, service was officiated by Rev. Bruce Vallis, interment took place at St.Paul's Anglican Cemetery in Lewisporte.
