We were shocked and saddened to hear of Junior's passing. I have many fond memories of Junior, and will cherish every one. He was not just a wonderful cousin, but a close friend during our youthful years, which took us from Black Island, to Little Burnt Bay, and later to the exciting city of Toronto. I was saddened when he returned 'back home', after which we only saw each another on rare occasions. Today we are saddened again with his untimely passing. We were so saddened to get the news this week that our buddy and great neighbour had gone home to Heaven.. Junior sure was Glens sidekick, always out in the garden, tearing up some dirt or sawing down a tree.. they sure were great buddies. It won’t be the same at our cabin now..:(. We’ll sure miss you J.R. but we WILL meet you again very soon, Enjoy Heaven and it’s not good bye but see you later..

Viola,Jason,Jackie and all the family.I am very sad and deeply sorry to hear of Junior's passing.I first meet Junior in 2013 ,I enjoyed being around him he was talented and I learned from him.He took me cod fishing with a rod and reel .My first time.I enjoyed the walks around Black Island the talks and cooking mussels on the beach. Junior loved the Lord ,I admired his Christian walk.Just today I listened to his Testimony on CD.I will miss him dearly. But look forward to seeing him in Heaven. Junior, with his wife Viola, are the warmest hosts in Canada. They welcomed you in their home and heart without reservation.
I remember Junior showing me a picture of his very large group of siblings, on the wall in their living room. I asked him if he got along with all of them. He said, in his unique quiet, understated, diplomatic way “Can’t think of a reason not to”. I felt that was Junior’ approach to life in general- get along, help others, appreciate what you’ve been given. Does it get any wiser than that?

Viola and family,
My heart goes out to you today. I was deeply saddened to hear of Junior’s passing. It sure reminds us of the brevity of life. Junior was a good neighbour and a well loved man. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. There is one thing you can be assured of and that is the fact that it won’t be long and you will see him again. What a hope we have!
Take comfort in knowing that you are surrounded by prayer.
We are leaving to go south tomorrow, so will not be able to attend the funeral.
