Stephanie and Andrew,
While we are so very saddened at Pastor Steve’s passing, we are so thankful to not only have known him, but that he was involved in all of out family’s early milestones: our marriage, and the dedication of our kids. He will forever be part of our story, and for that we are so thankful.
Reading Isaiah 40:31 will forever remind us of Pastor Steve: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” May God give you what you need each day.
With the Hope that one day we will meet him again,

My heart is broken for you, Steve was a wonderful wonderful person who made this world a better place by being in it. I know he will be missed by everyone he touched in his life and ministry.
For me personally I have precious memories of our time together doing God's ministry when I was in the Parish of Port Saunders. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing God's love and word together whenever we got the opportunity.
It is such a blessing to hold the hope of the risen Christ in your lives which will help you weather this storm. Hold fast to one another, to Scripture and especially to the hope of knowing that Steve is in the arms of Jesus.
Holding you in prayer. Hugs.

Stephanie and Andrew, there are no words that exist to numb the pain you have endured over the past few weeks. As we have prayed and believed over the last while, it has lead us to this painful day. While it is hard to understand why, we can have confidence in knowing that where Steve is this very day, there is no pain or sorrow. And we can also be assured that God is in control and he is a loving God who turns all things for good.
I want to remind you that there is a time for all things. A time for sorrow, a time for mourning, a time for questioning, a time for confusion, a time to scream at the top of your lungs "where are you God!". But also remember that there will also be a time for joy, a time for comfort, a time for answers, and a time where God shows up in such a real way that you can literally smell Him. The God who has set all things in motion can cause a timing change at any moment. There will be hard days-- there is no doubt about it, but there will also be days where you will see God's hand on your life like never before.
Like David who shared his heart with God, you can to be open and honest with Him. Don't hold back and watch how God won't hold back from you. Continue to taste and see of the goodness of God. He will pull you through this.
We love you and are here for you,
Jeremy, Adrienne, Selah, Everleigh, and Zyra Mitchell

We were deeply saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. We are still in disbelief that his time with us has been cut so short. Steve was a dedicated husband and dad and faithful servant of the Lord. We served together in many events and committees. I remember seeing Steve walk through some difficult days and loss, but I was always struck by his profound faith and trust in God. His faith has now become sight. At the same time, we know these past days have been incredibly difficult for you all, but we have great assurance from God’s Word that although we walk through “the valley of the shadow of death,” God has not left us alone. For: Members of the Jenkins Family and Extended Families
Sorry to learn about Pastor Jenkins passing.
I briefly met him during a family matter several years ago.
During those several meetings, I was humbled to have been in his presence.
Stephen impressed me as an individual with a mission to proclaim the good news of the gospel.
His life’s work has ended but we know that God do all things well.
Let the following bring a sense of consolation as you learn to move forward in the days, weeks and months ahead.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,
shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Cherish the memories.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To Stephanie, and your amazing son Andrew,
Please accept our deepest love towards you and Andrew at this time. We have been steadily praying for you and Steve ever since his illness came. Although the Lord has graciously taken Steve to be with Him, we will continue to pray for you that His love will encompass you, and lighten your hearts as time goes on. We really believe that 'time' will not be much longer, when the trumpet will sound, and the Lord will appear to take His 'Bride' . And it is there that we will see our Savior, and our loved ones who have gone before us. What an amazing future that is ahead of us!
Hold on , my daughter, and cherish your memories with Steve. The time is coming when you, Steve, Olivia and Andrew will be reunited in the presence of the Lord. Love to you.

To; Stephanie, Andrew, The Jenkins and Perry families.
It is with a heavy heart that I write these words.
A very short time ago I got to meet this very down to earth mild mannered man that was introduced to me as our new Pentecostal Pastor here in Victoria.
From the very first time I met him I knew that we were being blessed with another wonderful man of God.
His open mind and love of his church and his new congregation was evident from the start.
He had a way of keeping your attention and wanting to be in his company.
I know it's only been a short time, but it felt like we knew him for ages.
On behalf of the citizens, staff and council members of Victoria, I want to express our deepest sympathy to you all.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
"To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord".
I'm sure Stephen is with his Lord and Saviour.

Stephanie, Andrew, Thelma, Ross, Melissa and all of Steve’s extended family and friends, it is with great sadness that I heard of Steve’s illness and then his passing. I have fond memories of Steve and Stephanie’s dating years while I taught at at RLPC. They were a lovely couple even then, and grew in their devotion to each other as the years passed. I hope the day soon comes when your precious memories bring smiles amidst the tears. You will be in my thoughts and prayers today and going forward. Take care of yourselves and each other.
