We are so saddened to hear of Uncle Garfield’s passing. I remember visiting with Aunt Florence and Uncle Garfield as a young boy and always feeling welcomed and loved by them. I have fond memories of listening to his sermons and sensing the voice of the Lord in his words. We are so fortunate to know he is in heaven with the Saviour he so dutifully served throughout his life. I also feel comfort in knowing our mom was one of the people there to welcome him home. We love you all and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Aunt Florence, Tina, Stephen and families, I am so sad to be writing this message. So many raw feelings of my own grief that I also feel for you all today. It’s hard to express the true feeling of loss you feel to lose a parent. No matter how hard the fight, no matter how expected, when the loss becomes a reality the emptiness that is left behind is deep. But, we have an incredible hope! I can only imagine the streets of heaven today - the joy, the freedom, the true celebration of a journey well lived and a faith that is now sight. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you walk through the grief of missing someone so dear to you - until you meet again.

Mrs. Pinksen, Tina and family, Stephen and family:
So sorry to hear about Pastor Pinksen he was truly a great man Pastor and Friend. So many good memories and he always greeted you with a big smile that will never be forgotten by all who knew him. Was out skidooing a while back and ended up to their cabin and what laughs we all had. Cherish all the memories you have and hold them forever. Pastor Pinksen may be gone but he will never be forgotten. Thinking about you all at this sad time and days ahead. Hugs to everyone!

Mrs. Pinksen and family. We are so sorry and sadden to hear of Pastor Pinksen's passing.
You both have a special place in our hearts. You had briefly arrived in Roddickton when our dad passed and the comfort and attention you both gave to our family at that time, we will remember and cherish forever.
Mrs. Pinksen, all the baked treats, delicious soups, visits and birthday celebrations you prepared for our mom were extra special. The Pastor even ensured mom had a Christmas tree that first year dad passed by bringing one from the church already decorated and ready to go! How thoughtful was that! You are very dear and loved friends.
We are remembering you today with loving thoughts and our prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Wishing the family our deepest sympathy during this difficult time. As a young kid I remember the times we would vacation in Stoneville where we would hang out in the camper or spend the day at there cabin. The best was the laughs we would have as we would poke fun at uncle Garfield for driving an “Old Dodge”, tell Steve he looks like the Philpotts ( he would argue that point and might still today). Thanks for the memories.

Florence, Tina (Dwayne), Stephen (Sharla), Emily (Jared), Joey (Chloe), Sharlie, Russell, and Ryder. Our hearts are grieving along with you at this time. Thanks to the glorious power of the gospel we know your grief will one day be overcome with great joy. Garfield (Pastor to thousands of us) devoted his life to proclaiming 'hope' in the face of despair; he did so because he was emphatically convinced that the gates of Hell would never overcome the triumphant church of Jesus Christ - Death will surrender its power on the day when Jesus Christ appears to establish His Kingdom rule in the earth!
Florence, you and Garfield (Pastor) had a tremendous impact on our lives: you performed our marriage, dedicated our first child, Shane, to the lord, and you both have had a major role to play in our salvation and our spiritual growth. GREAT is your REWARD in HEAVEN!
We love you all very deeply and will be holding you in prayer in the coming days.

We were so saddened to learn of the home going of Garfield. He was in the Epistles class, one year behind us. And indeed, he lived out the fulfillment of that class name. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 3-4, “you are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ……”. Garfield was a person who once you met him, his warmth, his personality, his smile, created a lasting friendship and appreciation. He reflect Jesus throughout his life. He is absent from his body, but he is present with his Lord. Rest eternally my brother, we shall meet again, real soon.
Florence the road ahead is not without the promise of the Comforter and the Blessed Hope. We sure would love to be in Newfoundland now to join with you in the celebration of his life. Just not sure we can be in time for the livestream service but will watch it as soon as we can.
Blessings

Mrs. Pinksen and Family - we were shocked to hear of Pastor's passing. Our first thoughts are toward you and your family as we know that Pastor is now enjoying being with the one he loved and served faithfully.
We so enjoyed his sermons as he faithfully shared God's word with us. I always remember coming out of church one Sunday morning after a wonderful message and one gentleman's comment was - Brother, we don't want any better than that.
You both were always so special and such dear friends to us.
We want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and we are there for you in the difficult
days that you are facing.

Sending heartfelt condolences to Aunt Florence, Tina. Stephen & family. May the loving memories of uncle Garfield be with you forever! I will never forget the support Uncle Garfield brought to our family during the loss of my dad (Randy). It’s was such a busy time and he always stopped to ensure everyone was comforted. I still chuckle to myself when I think of him, Uncle Dave & Uncle Max taking on replacing the lights throughout the house with the those high ceilings and everyone else there offering their 2 cents on the job. Treasured memory never to be forgotten. Keeping you all in thoughts and prayers
