To the entire Kinden family we send our sincere condolences. Mr. Kinden was always a constant in our neighbourhood. Always with a smile and gentle, soft-spoken personality. And always with a helping hand. I never knew until this week, that apparently when Dad was building his shed and when he would go to work during the day, Mr. Kinden would come over and work away on it. That’s the kind of person he was....always helping without being asked...just being kind. So sorry to hear of Albert’s passing.
When I heard, my first thought was of Albert cutting wood near Woolfreys pond. It was around 1992 or 1993 and I had a new snowmobile. I was in very early one morning to break trail away from the main trail after a big snow storm.
The snowmobile broke through a snow covered brook and was completely bogged down, a bit wet, and I didn’t have snowshoes.
I thought this is going to be a very bad day. I headed toward the main trail but I only managed to get about 50 meters from the machine toward the unbroken main trail when there was no way to continue. I didn’t expect anyone to be in for hours due to the conditions.
I sat on a windfall and then I heard a snowmobile – it was Albert, (he was in before I was) he saw me and I waved.
Believe he asked where my snowshoes where.
No problem at all – he gave me a ride out.
