Every new spring, the apple trees in the orchard erupt in a delicate shower of pink and white petals. Soft as a lover's caress, their blossoms unfurl like the gentle breath of new life, with a sweet delicate fragrance that dances on the breeze, beckoning bees to their nectar. For a fleeting moment, the branches are adorned in this inspiring pageantry, a joyous renewal and celebration of the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
As we marvel at the trees' beauty, we know the blossoms cannot linger. Their petals will soon drift earthward, in a graceful bow to the unstoppable rhythms of nature. Just as the apple tree stands steadfast, weathering the passage of seasons, so too does the human spirit endure, outlasting the finite span of our physical forms.
They remind us that all living things, miracle and mystery, must surrender to the slowing down, and the steady march of time.
In the fallen blossoms, we can see a truth so bittersweet - that beauty is precious because it is so transient, that life is precious because it must end. The apple tree will bear fruit, nourishing us for a time. But the blossoms, those ephemeral harbingers of growth and renewal, are a poignant symbol of the fragility and preciousness of our own lives.
When at last our petals scatter to the winds, may we find solace in knowing that the essence of who we are lives on, intertwined with the greater tapestry of existence, enriching all that will give rise to new blooms of life.
Dearest Aunt Evelyn, I will continue to find peace in knowing you are all around us now, and in the delicate beauties of this life, I will find you there.
May your spirit be free.
Love always,
Cassandra Palmer

Dear Wilson, Jeff, Nolan, Roxanne, and our Palmer family,
We are deeply saddened to hear about the loss of our beloved Aunt and Sister-in-Law, Evelyn. We will remember Evelyn for her loving nature, strong and unwavering faith, and dedication to her family. She had a touch of the Palmer foolishness, and definitely had a big heart. We are grateful for the memories that we will carry of her, and the legacy that she has left for her family.
While distance prevents us from being there in person to pay our respects, please know that our hearts ache with yours during this challenging time. We are here for you, to offer our support, comfort, and strength in any way you may need. May the memories of Evelyn’s laughter, love, and faith bring you solace in the days ahead.
With love,
Barbara, Laura, and families

I remember Aunt Evelyn's laugh, I remember her energy as harmonious and her naturally radiant appearance. She was a beautifully kind Aunt. She often visited with us in st.John's where we would sing together at our house. I am astounded to not have more time to see her again.
She was very dear to me, and I wanted to thank her for living with such kindness and being who she was to me, my dear Aunt Evelyn. I will think of her when I have choices to make that require a peaceful attitude and grace that she seemed to effortlessly give. My love goes out to the whole collective family, and friends who are missing her so.

To: Wilson, Nolan (Dena) and Roxane (Trevor):
Evelyn was a remarkable woman of faith, living her life fully devoted to the Lord and in the anticipation of the resurrection from the dead. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
As you reflect upon her life and mourn her loss, you can take solace in the words of Jesus: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die” (John 11:25-26, NIV). Your mother’s faith in Christ assures us that she is now in His eternal presence, free from pain and suffering.
The Apostle Paul also reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (NIV), “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” These words give you hope and assure you that you will one day be reunited with your loved ones in Christ.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God’s peace, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, NIV). We are here for you, ready to support in any way you may need.

Dear Wilson, my Palmer/Hoddinott cousins and extended family.
I was truly saddened to hear of Evelyn's passing. Over the past few decades it seems the only occasions we would congregate would be the death of a well loved family member. Despite the sad circumstances of these meetings our families always found such pleasure and joy in each others company..tears of sadness were quite often followed with roars of laughter upon reminiscing of good times gone by. I will always remember Evelyn's beautiful smile, great sense of humour and her flawless complexion!
As you mourn and say goodbye for now to your dear Evelyn I will keep you all close in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending much love and a hug,
Cousin Sharon

What I remember about my dear cousin Evelyn was the fun times we had together when we were kids in Newfoundland. One of the happiest times was a bunch of us cousins piling in the back of Uncle Andrew’s truck to go on a picnic on Labour Day. Memories that will last forever, and Evelyn was a great part of that.
Your loving cousin
