Jennie W. Hackett

November 3, 1927 - June 5, 2024

Passed peacefully away at North Haven Manor in the early morning hours on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Mrs. Jennie Hackett, age 96 years of Lewisporte.

She is predeceased by her husband Eric Hackett (1996), daughter Glenna Simms (1999), her parents Mark and Melinda Burt and her brother Harvey Burt.

She leaves to mourn her grandson Mark Simms (Amy & Jackson), son-in-law Edgar Simms (Judi) and friends.

Jennie was a resident at North Haven Manor for 6 years. The family would like to thank the staff for the exceptional care that was given to her.

Visitation will take place from Families Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9th. from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00. Her funeral service will take place from the funeral home on Monday, June 10th. at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at St. Matthew’s United Church Cemetery, Premier Drive, Lewisporte.

As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations can be made to St. Matthew’s United Church Cemetery Fund.
