R. A. Francis Lane will be ever remembered as a honest, kind and caring gentleman. As a co-worker with NL Hydro Francis was one of the best and we were as brothers. He was was one of the most ingeniously creative individuals I ever met. The things we did in power generation to keep the lights on in Roddickton-Englee were appreciated and recognized by Hydro bosses as above and beyond the call of duty. I will never forget him as I'm sure others feel the same. Rest in Peace my dear friend yours was a life well lived. Harold Adams Fredericton, NB

My sincere sympathy to the family of the late Frances Lane. A man who had many talents,boatbuilder,Art work, sculpture & woodwork to add a few…. I’m sure you all have many pieces of his work to remember him by.RIP Mr Lane.

Mr. Lane was my neighbour in Englee who was more than a neighbour, he was my friend. My children Jonathan and Candace thought of him fondly. Whenever Jonathan wasn’t home I knew he was over in Mr. Lane’s workshop. When Mr. Lane moved to Lewisport, we kept in touch. I, like my son, loved visiting his workshop to see his latest projects. He was a very talented man! Every Christmas I got a phone call , just to chat. I will miss that! I will miss your stories, your kindness, your talent, your friendship but most of all I will miss you. RIP
