Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander, on June 11, 2024 at the age of 91 years. Francis was born on September 15, 1932 in Englee, a son of the late Fred and Nina Lane. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lucinda; daughter Nadine; sons-in-law Ian and Bruce; and his brothers David and Guy Lane.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his children, Austin (Gaetanne), Judy, Lawerence (Therese), Scott (Jackie), David (Kim), Carol (Carl), Dennis (Evelyn), 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Francis will be missed by his brother Jack; sisters, Carol (Bill), Marilyn (Barry); sisters-in-law Melva and Maxine along with nieces and nephews’ other relatives and friends.

Resting at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte with visitation on Sunday from 2-4pm.

Funeral service will take place on Monday, June 17th, 2024 at 11 AM from families Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at St. Matthew's United Cemetery in Lewisporte. Donations may be made in his memory to Loon Bay United Church Camp.
